Concentrating in 2-D and electronic media works,
Hsing-pei Hu is interested in investigating her
Chinese Taiwanese heritage, for while born in
Taipei, Taiwan she has not lived there since she
was six years of age. As an Asian-American artist
interested in identity issues, many of Hsing-pei’s
works include components of comic book imagery
with Asian references.

Minoring in Chinese Language and Culture,
Hsing-pei Hu focuses on learning more of her
Chinese heritage. Also minoring in Multimedia
Productions, Hsing-pei is using up to date
technology and appplications for fertile groud for
artistic exploration.

This multiplicity of expereince with different
mediums, Hsing-pei Hu hopes that her works brings
much more self-expression and meaning rather
than “pretty images."
