In Marks, Signs, and Communications,
we had to design a mark for a fabricated paper company.
The company is called, Hill Paper Company, and it is a paper
manufacturing company. After designing a logo we had to
design a business letterhead, business card, and envelope.
For a solution to this problem I decided
to design a mark that represented the source of paper which
is from pine trees. The mark consists of three simplified
pine trees with a circle enclosing them symbolizing, nature,
nurturing and recycling, which comes to mind when one thinks
of trees. With limited color to work with (we can only chose
one other color aside from black and white) I chose a pine
green color for the mark which also represents paper and
what is natural.
